The 2nd Ural Industrial Biennial of Contemporary Art

The Symposium of the Biennial will take place on September 13-15 during the Biennial’s vernissage week. The Symposium will continue delving into the topics of production and appropriation, the relation between art, urban spaces and (post)industrial economy. In its other dimension, the symposium will address the theme of the biennial's main project, "The Eye Never Sees Itself”, which is meant to explore art's dependence on and autonomy from the world, the ability of artistic vision to defuse the world from its dangers.
